The dark walnut chessboard in this chess set, handmade by Italfama of Italy, was the only one we could find that does the exceptional ebony Bath chessmen the justice they deserve.

That really is the main issue with the Classic Staunton Ebony Bath Series Chessmen 4.25 Inches; they are so striking, they outshine everything you put near them. With this in mind, we spoke to our friends in Italy about making a dark luxury chessboard.
