Crafted from selected boxwood, this set of chess pieces offers remarkable quality for the price.

Each piece is constructed from one section of wood and is subsequently robust. This process ensures that every chess piece in this set will last for generations rather than just a few years.

Despite their modest price, all of the Down Head Knight range is crafted and finished to an excellent standard. Each piece has been hand-polished to a medium gloss finish, creating an excellent but not overstated shine. The black pieces are ebonised: a process that creates the look of real ebony and further strengthens and preserves the wood.

These chessmen will sit perfectly on our 45cm and larger chessboards, and are also available in smaller sizes of 7.6cm and 6.3cm.
