The Lewis figures have become legendary throughout the world due to their unclear history, steeped on Celtic and Nordic folklore.

The large chessboard, made in Spain, is almost 55 cm in width. These chessmen require a large square size to accommodate their bases. The beautiful rich grain patterns of brown and black really complement the colour of the chessmen and add to the mythical look of the chess set.
